This walk takes you through the wonderful forest scenery of Abernethy Forest in the northern Cairngorms. It's well known for its diversity of bird species, as well as red squirrels and deer, so makes a good walk for keen birdwatchers. There are no direct buses from the start to the end, but connections to both from Aviemore.
