Start of the walk
This long distance footpath travels all the way across Devon to Exmoor! Join it here for it's first challenge up the slopes of Butterdon Hill.
From this gate on you are able to decide on your route choice but I'd suggest heading to Dartmoors most southerly peak at Western Beacon.
Following the line of Boundary Stones from Western Beacon will take you to Butterdon Hill.
Near to this spot are the sites of many antiquities to explore at your leaisure.
The walk down from the heights will take you to this lovely little church nestling in the valley.
Explore if you have the time.
Follow close to the banks of this beautiful river back to Ivybridge.
Take time to explore this lovely market town and reward yourself with some refreshment before heading back to the station!
