There are various footpaths weaving through the countryside towards Cardington - pick your own route! The paths via Willstone Hill and Cardington Hill are good options.
The 16th century Royal Oak in Cardington is the archetypal country pub and reputed to be Shropshire's longest continuously licenced pub. Royal Oak is a reference to the "Boscobel Oak" at Shifnal in Shropshire, in which the then Prince Charles hid to escape from his Parliamentarian adversaries.
