This walk in southern Wiltshire explores the very pleasant countryside south of Warminster. Starting with two wooded hills, it continues to Shear Water, a popular weekend walking spot. There are only three buses a day from Warminster, but it should be easily possible to complete the walk at a leisurely pace between the first and last buses of the day. You can also stay at the Bath Arms in Crockerton if planning a visit to the region.
