The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path stretches for 188 glorious miles around the southwest corner of Wales. Completing the full distance is well worth making time for (visit
http://nt.pcnpa.org.uk), but if you can only do it in bite-sized chunks, this section is a good place to start. From Tenby, take the bus or train to Manorbier, and walk back along the coast. The route takes you past Manorbier Castle and Lydstep Haven, but the real highlight is the fantastic coastal scenery.

Fantastic part of the Country, every corner you go round the view is better than the last.
Done the walk a couple of days ago in glorious sunshine, still big pockets of snow near the track.Track was remarkably dry despite the recent weather and not muddy in the slightest which surprised me.
Had breakfast before I started at the cafe near the Castle in Manorbier, well worth a visit.5 stars!

Walked the Manorbier to Penally today, absolutely fabulous views, a bit precarious some parts but really enjoyable. We caught the train to Manorbier then started the path from the castle (about a mile from the train station). More or less 8 miles but not in any rush, its so good to stop and look back at the views regularly to take it all in. Highly recommended.

We did this walk today and it is lovely the views, the flowers and the beaches are great but as we climbed out of Lydstep it started to rain and it was very gusty as we walked across the cliffs to Giltar Point. So it was head down and get walk as best you could. Once on the beach it was much easier. We felt we had earnt our lunch after 2hrs and 45 minutes of walking!

No need to park in Manorbier with good bus and train connections!

We did the walk today on a gorgeous March day. We parked for free in Manorbier & stopped for an hour for lunch in the lovely bay at Lydstep. The terrain is mixed and undulating as you would imagine. Some very steep sections and times when you need a good head for heights as you skirt the cliff edge making it unsuitable for young children under around 10 I'd say. At other points the walk is across lovely flat meadows. The views are exceptional throughout. We then got the bus back from Tenby to Manorbier to conclude a lovely but tiring days walking.

Thanks Mike, glad you enjoyed it! The walks do tend to be a little bit longer than our estimates show, simply because of the way they are measured between waypoints. GPX readings more likely to be accurate!

My wife and I just completed this walk on Saturday, The views are quite incredible. I would personally grade this walk at this time of year, medium to hard. The path is very muddy in places, and you do need to watch your footing, I would also pay attention to the wind, it was very gusty in places and thats not good when your close to the edge.. all in all It was tremendously enjoyable... thanks for sharing. (Our GPS made this walk closer to 10miles, but we did stray off the path a little near the firing range and had to double back.)

Me & my partner have just finished this walk, wow stunning views! It was a medium hard walk with lots of up & downs & rocky paths. The path is right near the edge & there are some steep gradients so kids/pushchairs will not be able to make it round. Dont do this walk on a wim, you needs proper boots & some effort. Great fun

It's really a nice walk. We did it on a very hot day with a pause for a dip in one of the coves. Very nice views. A veritable drawback: there was some gun training at the Danger Area at Giltar Point. So we had to go far inland to Penally and follow the main road for a while. Better make sure that the red flags are not on.

Glad you enjoyed it! I think all walks in Pembrokeshire need a bit of fitness, they are always longer than they look on the map given the nature of the coastline.

Thanks for the detailed info. Walk was very good, but muddy footpath & close to clifftop so had to tread carefully. Enjoyed & would recommend to those of reasonable fitness. Last mile or 2 along beach was actually quite a trek.
