A circular, stroll-(1-2-hours) low hills and fells (below 600m) walk in England starting at Wendover Train Station, Buckinghamshire, about 4.4km (roughly 2.7 miles) long and suitable for families with children, but unsuitable for prams/pushchairs, wheelchairs.
Find Public Transport to Wendover Train Station, Buckinghamshire

As it says, a very popular walk with locals around National Trust land, with fabulous views across the Chilterns and strong advice to take a cheap kite (always great kite flying weather)

From train station, walk to High Street, maybe stock up on caffeine/sugar at the quaint chocolaterie. Look up the hill, and off you go.

Good moment to take a first look at the Chiltern landscape to your right. You can see a church steeple straight ahead. If it happens to be a bank holiday and you happen to have a car, you can drive to Ellesborough Church, climb the tower for 50p and look back at Coombe Hill.
About 1.3 km (roughly 0.8 miles) from 3 OS Grid: SP849067
Fantastic views, some national trust rare breed cows, great kite flying You can see North to Aylesbury, you can see the scar which HS2 will cause running next to the old (tiny) commuter line.... and to your left... Chequers. Have a picnic.

Unless you want to head down in Princes Risborough (another hour or so), you want to go left here, then left at the car park to get back to the path back to Wendover.

Coombe Hill
Lovely shady walk on the flat to a spectacular viewing point at the Momument to the war in S Africa. Suitable for small children who love the heathland meadows, bugs and butterflies and using their binoculars for the views. There is an excellent picnic area. I used to bring my own children thirty years ago and now bring grandchildren. Five stars!!!
