This walk explores the beaches and sand dunes of Braunton Burrows in North Devon. It's a very wild area, and was used by troops training for beach landings in World War II. Today, it's popular with surfers and holiday makers, but on a quiet day it feels as remote as anywhere in this part of the country. Buses between Barnstaple and Ilfracombe stop at Braunton.
