Take the bus to Connah's Quay, for the start of the walk. Look for a big sign for Wepre Park, Ewloe Castle. It's quite a long walk through a housing estate (I thought I was going wrong somewhere, but perservered) - you get there in the end.

Two streams, woodland walks, picnic areas. It's a great place for inquisitive kids, even if it is in ruins; who will be king (or queen) of the castle ?

There are plenty of ways out of the park into town - one for your own judgement!
