Easy paths in woodland, by rivers, lakes and forests, and some roads. Until  about 200 years ago, the River Cefni was navigable to Llangefni lying two miles off the A5. This small inland market town is the administrative capital of the island.

Council Head Offices for Anglesey, head West along Stryd Fawr (Main Street) towards Stryd Yr Eglwys (Church Street) turn left onto Ffordd Glandwr, keep stream (Afon Cefni) on your left to see ASDA, keep on gravel path between stream and staff car park, turn left to see to see St. Cyngar's Church, start of walk, waypoint 2.

Head for The Dingle, a 25 acre wooded valley, a steep sided gorge formed by glacial meltwater, River Cefni now flows along its base,one of the few woodlands on Anglesey with public access, recently regenerated with boardwalks, footbridges, wooden sculptures, benches, and picnic tables, trees include oak, ash, wild cherry and sycamore, on the woodland floors are ferns, mosses, bluebells, wood anemones and wild daffsin spring, there are abundant birds such as the treecreeper, nuthatch, stock dove dippers, plenty of ducks and, if you're lucky kingfishers, head away from church, through two timber pillars onto start of path and waypoint 3.

Go up the left hand side of the river following the boardwalk sign, do not go over first bridge, go under the disused railway bridge and follow boardwalk up river bank, don't take left turn, continue on boardwalk to waypoint 4.
