A full day 10-mile circular walk on the West Pennine moors from Chorley railway station. This walk takes you from Chorley to the picturesque village of White Coppice, then up onto Anglezarke Moors to Great Hill. The return takes you across the moors via Redmond Edge to the Anglezarke Reservoir then back into Chorley to take the train home.

Leave the station, turn left and take a footpath back under the railway to the Railway Inn. Immediately turn left and head north for 100m along Friday Street. Turn right (west) along Brown Street to Eaves Lane. Turn left, walk 100m to Froom Street, and then turn right and follow the road across the motorway bridge.

Take the path to the south of the cricket ground and cross the bridge onto the path to the moor. Take a left and then follow the path, which soon makes a sharp right and then rises steeply for half a mile to Coppice Stile House. Follow the path across three more fields to a footbridge. Follow the path for about 200m until it meets a farm track. Carry on east for about a mile on this track, past Great Hill Farm.

This is the highest point of the walk. From here take a distinct path southeast. Follow this path down, then up, for about a mile to Redmonds Edge.

When the well paved path approaches a wall on your left, look out for a a path heading diagonally to your right southwest. Follow this faint track, which become a distinct cart track after about half a mile. Stay on this track for about 2 miles until you reach Alance Bridge.

Follow the road west for about 300m along the northern edge of Yarrow Reservoir, then take a path on the left along the edge of the reservoir. Roughly halfway down the reservoir, look out for a path bearing right (not long after you cross a bridge across a water course). Take this path, which brings you to the road across the dam at the southern end of Anglezarke Reservoir.
