This walk takes you along the northwestern corner of Salisbury Plain, a chalk plateau covering 300 square miles. The walk starts in the town of Westbury, heading along the edge of the Plain escarpment. It's a great place for bird watchers, with skylarks, owls and hawks all found in the area. The walk ends at Erlestoke village, where buses head back to Westbury. For a shorter walk, drop down to Bratton or Edington - the bus stops in each village.
