A linear, full-day mountain (above 600m) walk in England starting at Troutbeck Church Bridge, Cumbria, about 17km (roughly 11 miles) long and

A pleasant linear walk from Troutbeck to Ullswater over high ridges, made possible by the Kirkstone Rambler bus service.
Highlights include the conical summit of Ill Bell and the picturesque Angle Tarn. Other peaks including Rest Dod, Kidsty Pike and Angletarn Pikes can be included as easy detours.
NOTE: Lake District NE area map is also needed.

After heading south from the Church and over the bridge, follow the track on the left and ascend steadily across the hillside towards Garburn Nook.
Turn left off the Garburn track and follow the line of the ridge North over the summits of Yoke, Ill Bell and Froswick to the cairn on Thornthwaite Crag.
Follow the curving path east then north onto High Street. Detour over the grass to the east to reach the summit cairn of High Street.
Follow the path north then north west, gradually descending past The Knott, Satura Crag and Angle Tarn to Boredale Hause. Detours along the way can take in The Knott, Rampsgill Head, High Raise, Kidsty Pike, Rest Dodd and Angletarn Pikes if desired.
Descend north west across the hillside to the valley floor, then cross the valley south west to Patterdale Village.
Have a pint in the White Lion while you wait for the bus home.
