I found this route in an issue of The Great Outdoors and it's a wonderful stop on a tour through the Hebrides. Eriskay is a beautiful island and well worth a day or two spent exploring. There are no buses from the north, nor ferries from the mainland, so you have to arrive and return via Barra. Visit www.calmac.co.uk for times and rejoice in the cheap cost of not taking your car!
