This short walk from Aviemore makes a great activity for kids. The reserve, full of huge crags and birch woodland, holds a host of wildlife, and you may even spot red deer on the high ground. There are different routes around the reserve but try to make the viewpoint on the hills above for wonderful views across to the Cairngorms. More details about the reserve can be found here: www.nnr-scotland.org.uk/craigellachie/
