A flat 12k walk that includes masses of ozone to clear the lungs, numerous tea, ice cream and toilet stops.
Varied interests from amusment arcades to isolated marshland. The walk is shadowed by the coastal
railway so cheating is possible! From Southend Central station walk down the High Street towards Southend Pier. On the seafront keep the water on your left until you reach Benfleet station. Good detours if you have time are Southend Pier, Two Tree Island Nature Reserves and Hadleigh Castle.
