This walk in the northeast of Dartmoor is a super introduction to the region. Good transport links, open moorland, a stone circle and even a woodland cleave to finish if time allows. And a great Dartmoor pub at the end as well. Buses between Exeter and Okehampton stop in Sticklepath, the start of the walk. There is a short road section however, so only suitable for well-behaved families.
