The Mawddach estuary provides the backdrop for this hugely enjoyable walk in west Wales. The first half follows paths over low hills, before returning via the Mawddach Trail. You could continue into Barmouth from Arthog for a linear walk, or even better, split the route over two days to save weary legs - this is a corner of the UK to be savoured.
