A short walk along the quiet sands of Filey to the Brigg (a large outcrop of rocks) where seals can often be seen in the water or lazing on the rocks. As the Brigg is fully submerged at High Water local advice is not the be on the Brigg 2 hours either side of High Water and/or in bad weather. There is an 'emergency' exit to the clifftop between points 9 & 7.

It's tempting to exit the Brigg directly up a path that heads steeply up to the cliff top, however the path is very badly eroded, narrow and with no supporting hand rail.
