You can walk directly from the city of Sheffield into beautiful heathland countryside, finishing up at the popular rock climbing outcrop, Stanage Edge. The walk starts alongside a river in parkland, through farmland and continues into open moorland. A great, varied walk to shake off the city blues!

The walk starts in Ecclesall Park, near the popular student area of Hunter's Bar. There are plenty of shops to stock up on supplies, and lots of Sheffield buses pass through here.
