A moderate walk (low hills and fells (below 600m)) in national park Peak District starting and finishing in Derbyshire, England, about 10.80km (6.71 mi) long with an estimated walking time of about 4:00h. It is unsuitable for families with children, prams & pushchairs, wheelchairs.
To the south of the track lies an area containing evidence of the long history of this place, with evidence of a medieval field systems and the remains of a fort worthy of an excursion.
This 5km edge offers the rock climber some of the very best gritstone climbing in this land. It is well worth meandering between the top and bottom of the cliff to take in both the views and the spectacle of other folk ascending the seemingly impossible.
Outdoor mecca with cafe's, gear shops, pubs and a fine bakery (their stuffed yorkshire puddings come highly recommended!). The outdoor swimming people might even tempt you for a dip?
