A leisurely walk (riverside) in national park South Downs in West Sussex, England, about 5.30km (3.29 mi) long with an estimated walking time of about 1:45h. It is suitable for families with children, prams & pushchairs, wheelchairs.
This walk takes in the scenic downland town of Arundel and the river Arun. The highlight is the riverside Black Rabbit pub; time your walk to have lunch here.
Follow the road heading southeast until you reach the Arundel Park. From here take the path north of the lake, which double back on itself to head up to Hiorne Tower.
Hi Miriam
Thanks for this; this was one of the earliest routes we added and needed a few more details! I have updated it in light of your comments.
Thanks

Good Walk
This walk was good. From the station it was easy to find the town, and the river, but then I did have some trouble working out which side of the river I should be walking on and actually getting to the riverside to start walking. One or two more pointers on that would have been helpful.
But it was fine really and a very nice walk once I was on the river.
What do you think?
