The Berwyns are the forgotton hills of North Wales. A fraction of the visitors that head to the peaks around Snowdon, and all for the lack of a few feet to take them to the magical '3,000' height. But those who venture here will find some wild hills, a far cry from the wide paths of Snowdonia. This route takes in the main summits in the range in a long walk from Llandrillo, which is a stop on the Wrexham-Bala route and has regular buses.
