Embsay Moor, known locally as Skipton Moor, sits at the mouth of Wharfedale, dominating views south from the lower reaches of the dale. A good access point is Cracoe, a village on its western side and on bus routes heading from Skipton to Grassington. You can drop down via the northern escarpment to reach Grassington for the bus home. Don't miss this little gem in a rush to reach the Dales!
