This walk explores the forests around Hawkshead and Near Sawrey, where Beatrix Potter's house is found. It's low-level, but there is a bit of navigation to be done among the forest tracks. It's hard to get very lost, though. There us a little bit of road walking, but this should be a suitable walk for most well-trained families.
