You can start in Townsend Road, then walk up the road with Townsend nature reserve on your right. At the top, veer off on the path left (carry on and you'd end up at the farmhouse). Walk straight across the fields with a couple of gates and stiles and lovely views on the way and you end up at Durlston Country Park. You can get a cup of tea here from the Durlston visitor centre, or Durlston Castle (once refurbished) will have a tea room. You can then explore Durlston Country Park or cross the car park and take up the trail leading to Pevril Point and Swanage pier. From here, walk along the front until you reach the square and then cross over, veering right till you reach the high street. Walk up the high street until you reach Townsend Road.
