This walk makes use of the Ffestiniog Railway:
www.festrail.co.uk. As ever with these restored railways, the journey is half the fun - often you will get to travel through the Snowdonian scenery on a steam train. Check times, as the service doesn't run every day.
From Tan y Bwlch, follow the footpaths through woods and alongside lakes back to Blaneau Ffestiniog. It's a pleasant walk, but for once the journey is the real highlight.
