Start the walk here. Head NE out of the station (you can cut through the car park)

Take a path uphill on the left over a cattle grid.

Turn left onto the road and walk through the village; at the village green turn right up Tom's Hill Road

About 50 metres up Tom's Hill Road, take a track leading left up the hill toward the monument and the National Trust estate.

The path takes you past some stables and out onto a road. Go straight across the road and follow another path through a small, dense wood. The path comes out of the wood and onto the golf course. Hug the edge of the golf course.
