Beer is a popular destination on the southwest coast, and this short walk gives a fine taster of the local scenery that attracts the hordes. There is a little bit of a climb to begin with - don't underestimate the steepness of the hills here - but there is a good cafe at Branscombe halfway round, so there is no reason at all to rush this one.

From the bus stop, head away from the village and take the first left.

You should soon reach Underleys, the road heading west and uphill out of the village. If you find yourself out of the village, you've gone too far (or they've moved the bus stop from when I visited).

There are two options back to Beer; the lower path or the cliff top path. (Or you could swim, of course. Or take a boat). I would opt for the lower path, which weaves through some fascinating scenery.
