A three-day Lake District walk covering a wide area. This walk takes approximately three days, using two National Trust campsites (open all year round). The first and last day are short walks, with a slightly longer day in the middle. Start by catching a train to Ravensglass (unless you live in Ravenglass of course), then take the Ravenglass-Eskdale railway to the start of the walk. On the last day catch a bus back to Windermere for train connections.

Hi, you'll need to be logged in, though, to download the GPX.

GPS And Accomodation

Hello If you look at the top of the page, to the right of the map, there is a button to download the GPX waypoints. Just click on that to get them. There's a YHA hostel at the western end of Wast Water (look for the pink triangles on the map) and in Grasmere, but none in between according to the YHA map: http://www.yha.org.uk/places-to-stay/north-west http://www.lakelandcampingbarns.co.uk/ So it's either camping in Langdale or a B&B.

Wasdale Head

This walk must count as an all-time Lakes classic! Anyone camping at Wasdale Head should visit the pub there for a pint. A midnight swim in Wast Water is also an unforgettable experience.
